10 Best Degreasers: Best Pressure Washer Degreaser For Professionals

10 best degreasers best pressure washer degreaser for professionals

If you are a pressure washer looking for the best degreaser, look no further. Use the correct detergent if you want professional results. The best way to remove dirt and grime. Here are my top picks that I use to kill my competition.

Zep Industrial Purple Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate

This is a good driveway cleaning solution for the average guy. A professional company should not use this. This product is not made for the industrial amount of gross that you will encounter. There are lots of better options on the market. It's not worth the money, even at its low price. I give this a 0/10 ranking. (It's on the list because a lot of new guys use this)

Purple Power

I used Purple Power on a trash area with a bad grease spill. It worked really well! It seems like this works well with food grease. I would not use them on oil stains. If you are trying to get professional results skip this one. Its good for homeowners. I give this a 3/10 ranking.

RED POWER CLEANER / DEGREASER

Now we are getting to the acceptable stuff. This is kind of low end but its much better than the other two by far! If this is all you have in your local area them okay. I give this a 5/10 ranking.

Simple Green

This is "industrial simple green." It's actually pretty good and gets the job done. This is a lot more accessible than Red Power Cleaner. It does just as good. Because of its price point and it does decent. Ill give it a 5.5/10 ranking.

EBC Enviro Bio Cleaner – General Purpose Pressure Washing Chemical

This is the minimum you should do for a deep clean if you want professional results. The best multi-purpose option for cleaning. Yes, we are getting a little expensive. Not all degreasers are created equal. EBC gets results, and they know it. That's why they have a higher price. I can't argue with the performance when it comes to oil and grease stains. 7/10 ranking.

Gunk Degreaser

This is becoming more expensive at $40 per gallon. You need to work smart if you are going to spend the money on the good stuff. As you get more experience, you will know the best practices to save chemicals. You can downstream this if you are covering a large area. If you are doing a small area, I would rather you wet the area and use a pump up sprayer. Only use a little where it's needed. Then use a hard-bristled brush and scrub it in. Wait 10–20 minutes, then pressure wash. 7.5/10 ranking.

SIGNATURE SERIES ORANGE DEGREASER

Easily an 8/10. Not only does it have the best smell, but it will melt buildup like you wouldn't believe. It runs about $45 a gallon plus shipping. You won't be disappointed. Be sure to shop around for this stuff. These links were the first ones that I found on Google. I haven't used this stuff in a long time. Usually, you have to buy the good stuff from approved dealers. 8/10 ranking.

Bull Dog Degreaser / Heavy Duty Cleaner

This is my go-to resource for apartment complexes. For whatever reason, it does the best with the black buildup that you would see in front of restaurants and apartments. I always buy 55 gallons of this when I do apartments. It's $70 a gallon. 8.5/10 ranking.

Magnum K

Yikes! This stuff is legit. Oil stains, grease stains, it doesn't matter; everything is getting cleaned! Notice that you can't buy this in stores? You can only place special orders from approved vendors. Welcome to the pressure washing secret sauce, baby. This gets RESULTS. Magnum K is what you use to blow someone's socks off. Guaranteed stunning before and after photos Ya, it's expensive, so charge accordingly. Magnum beats Bulldog when it comes to oil stains, but not by much. This product works and is a great option. Ranking 8.9/10 ranking.

Hot Stain Remover

As of this writing, I have a hard time putting this ahead of Magnum K. The reason I do so is because I used hot stain remover on a 14 level parking garage that was disgusting. Hot Stain Remover earned my respect, as did the manufacturer, Eco-Chem. I was praised up, down, and sideways for how clean I got everything. This is your secret sauce if you are using it and your competition is not. Shop around for this stuff. I just linked to the first guy I found on Google. In my option this is the degreaser king. Use this product. 9.5/10 ranking.

Notes from Eldon

It's important to note all products described are biodegradable or eco-friendly. You would not use these products in order to clean house siding or wood, such as a deck. The last four products are strong degreasers and commercial cleaning agents used by professional pressure washers.

The type of cleaning that theses products are used for is on driveways and concrete. Take caution when putting this stuff on. Use protective equipment. There are better products for mold and mildew (bleach). All of these products can be downstreamed.

All of the prices that I listed are for 1 gallon.

Quick FAQ for the noobs

What's the cleaning process?

Read the product label. It will tell you exactly what to do. They are all slightly different. It's pretty much dilute it with water or mix with water. Apply. Scrub. Wait. Then use a pressure washer.

Why does it look like soap when I rinse?

It's because of the type of additives. Just relax, everything is environmentally friendly, and the bubbles will go away when you stop pressure washing the soap. Be sure to only use what you need. These types of cleaning products are concentrated; these power washer soaps go a long way.
